Established in 1997, La Locanda blends traditional Italian cuisine with modern culinary flair. Mario Palumbi and Franco Stefanatto grew the restaurant with the times while remaining true to their heritage. La Locanda was born from a heartfelt love of food, wine and the joy of gathering. Inspired by treasured family recipes, our menu focuses on homemade pasta, fresh seafood and premium steaks.

We lovingly remember Mario Palumbi, our founder and dear friend. His legacy lives on in every dish we serve and every guest we welcome.

Franco Stefanatto, Owner

Born in Northern Italy, our owner brings a lifelong passion for hospitality and fine cuisine. After working in prestigious hotels across Switzerland, France and later Bermuda, he brought his passion to the US making his mark at the Monte Carlo Living Room and Primavera Pizza Kitchen in Ardmore. Since 2004 he brought his passion to La Locanda and has shared his love for fine dining and thoughtfully curated wines with every guest. Franco’s deep culinary knowledge and enthusiasm for pairing flavors has made La Locanda an award wining establishment with an award-winning wine list.

Massimo Fazzina, GM

With over 40 years of experience, Massimo Fazzina brings passion, expertise and charisma to every guest interaction. Originally from Milan, Italy, after graduating from restaurant school, he made his way to the States. He has successfully led teams in several prominent and beloved Italian restaurants in the area. His knowledge of food and wine combined with his dynamic leadership and warm personality ensures that every La Locanda guest enjoys a memorable dining experience.

John Ingram, Chef

With over 40 years of experience in the restaurant world, Chef John brings a wealth of knowledge, passion and precision to every dish at La Locanda. A graduate of Johnson & Wales University, John has spent his career mastering Classic Cuisine with a focus on French and Italian traditions. He has led kitchens at top Chester County establishments and for the past 3 and a half years he’s been the creative force behind La Locanda’s kitchen delivering refined dishes that reflect his lifelong dedication to fine dining.
